NHRA rules changes for 2014-newer street cars

Some big news for 2014 and newer cars came out this week.  The NHRA is saying these cars can now run as fast as 9.0 or 150mph 1/4 miles without making any changes to the safety equipment they come with from the factory!

There are stipulations to this rule. Such as the factory body structure, brake system, safety equipment and frame must all remain unmodified.

The addition of these rule changes will allow such high performance vehicles like the Dodge Demon, Chevy Corvette ZR1 and Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 to run to their potential.  These cars may not run 9.0 out of the box but slight mods can easily add the power to do it.

If you’ve been staying away from the track because you didn’t want to put a roll cage in your car, this is the opportunity to take your racing to the track and keep it off the streets.
